Often times it is necessary to return a pallet back to the beginning of the production line.  When elevators/lowerators are placed at the beginning and end of the line in order to recirculate the pallet, we call these Over/Under Conveyor Systems.

mk North America starts by working with your needs for the main (conveying) line.  Depending on your requirements we can use virtually any of our driven conveyors (although dual lanes are often preferred in order to incorporate pop-up stops).  We then add a pallet return conveyor.  The pallet return conveyor is mounted under the main-line conveyor, and runs in the opposite direction – to bring the pallets back to the beginning of the line(this can often be a light-duty conveyor if returning empty pallets).  Lastly elevator/lowerators are added to either end of the system.  These are designed to lower the pallet from the main line down to the pallet return conveyor, and then back up to the main line.

mk North America has several types of elevating conveyors – from powered belt conveyors to gravity roller conveyors.  We mount these conveyors onto either a motor driven linear motion carriage or onto a guided pneumatic cylinder.  We then complete the elevator by guarding it using our standard mk profiles and components.  Because we offer a full line of guarding, we are able to incorporate many safety features as a standard.
