mk North America offers mechanically complete re-circulating conveyor systems. Your parts/pallets can be transferred a variety of different ways through the use of lift and transfer systems, pneumatic pallet sweeps, or via contoured side rails. mk North America offers more standard conveyor styles than any of our competitors because we use our own profile system; we are able to offer the greatest flexibility when designing re-circulating conveyor systems.
Lift and Transfer
By using any of our dual lane systems (the SRF-P 2010, shown above, is an excellent choice) we can integrate a flat belt conveyor (GUF-P 2000) between the lanes. The flat belt conveyor is mounted onto a pneumatic cylinder, and travels perpendicular to the conveyor lanes it is between. When the pallet hits a fixed-stop and is positioned over the flat belt conveyor, the cylinder is engaged and the flat belt unit is lifted up, turns on and drives the pallet onto the next conveyor positioned at 90°. Conveyors using lift and transfer systems can be running at right angles to each other, or in-line.
Pallet Sweep
If you have two conveyors next to each other running in opposite directions, or conveyors at a right angle to one another, a pneumatic pallet sweep can be used to transfer the product. In order to use a pneumatic pallet sweep your product must have a rigid edge that can have pressure applied to it. We build our pallet sweeps using our standard profile with linear components pneumatic cylinders by other manufacturers (SMC, Festo etc.). With this type of arrangement the pallet is physically pushed from one conveyor to the next.
Contoured Side Rails
Often small parts need to be moved around an assembly line, in these cases the most cost-effective approach to changing directions is through the use of contoured side rails. The conveyors are set up so that the end of one conveyor feeds onto the side of the next, and then the side rails are designed to help guide the product thru the transition.
Since mk North America offers so many different choices when it comes to your re-circulating needs, we encourage you to discuss your application with one of our experienced sales engineers so that we might be able to work with you in determining the best and most cost-effective solution for your application.
