Applications:
■ Very rugged gantries
■ Large supporting beams, frames and portals ■ Machine Bases ■ Large elevator / lowerator systems Benefits:
■ Improved structural stability
and load capacity ■ Less expensive than steel construction ■ Foam reduces vibrations ■ No machining required to mount guide rails for a motion system ■ No painting required |
Designed as a heavy-duty support profile category, foamed profiles offer improved structural stability and load capacity. Foam profile technology is an excellent way to combine structural profiles from our 40, 50 and 60 series into very large cross-sections. Several spacer profiles are available depending on the structural series.
The spacing foam is a rigid construction foam (CFC-free) and is considered a non element when calculating carrying capacities. Standard continuous length is 5000mm, although custom lengths are available upon request.
This new method gives designers almost unlimited freedom in creating new profiles by joining our wide variety of standard structural profiles with foamed connector profiles. Steel plates or tubes can be inserted in the connector profile to increase stiffness or to hold wires, cabling or pipes.
